[resolved] Themes without comments (4 posts)

I would like to have pages, including my home page, that do not allow any comments, and which do not say "Comments Closed" or anything like that -- just a generic, old fashioned web page.

I understand that this in order to do this, I need a theme that allows it. How can I find such a theme? I did search for "No Comments" but no love there.

I would rather NOT have to go into a theme and modify the code.

    Hi there,

I usually just remove the line <?php comments_template(); ?> and everything related. It´s very simple, that´s why most theme creators leave all default.

I usually did as Dianakc said, just remove the <?php comments_template(); ?> and it will have no comment thingy. You won't break anything of your theme as long as you always backup. I usually rename my theme to themeOriginal, or something. If it's broken, you still have the original. Besides, i also installed wordpress locally to modify themes.
