    Hello!

I'm looking for a simple theme that does NOT have blogging, or where blogging can be completely turned off. Thanks in advance for your help!

Any theme can be used without using the blogging features.

Just create a "page" to be used as your home page then in your wp-admin section go to Settings > Reading and under "Front page displays" select "a static page" then select the page you'd like for the homepage from the drop down list. Your page will then show as the home page of your site rather than the blog list.

I'm assuming you just want individual static pages, just create all the pages you like using "Pages" not "Posts" then add them to the menu under Appearance > Menus.

Thanks! This worked for the home page for the theme I'm working with, Twenty Ten. But other static pages I created have a comment section at the bottom of the page and I can't figure out how to turn this off or suppress it. Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

Turn off commenting via Settings -> Discussion.

I unchecked "Allow people to post comments on new articles" and "Users must be registered and logged in to comment". This eliminates the comment box but there is still text that says "Leave a Comment" followed by "You must be logged in to post a comment". Any way to eliminate that text?

    Thanks!

Check that you have unticked "Allow comments" in the Discussion pane of Edit Page for that page.

There is no Discussion Pane displayed on the Edit Page...

There is - it's just hidden. Click Screen Options at the top of the page and tick Discussion.

Is there a way to design/customize a wordpress website so that the landing pages are more interactive? Are there plug-ins I can use? Are there templates that support this best?
I need to have my design work show like a photo album.
    Any suggestions, advice is welcome.
    Thank you.
