   I'm about to share my theme artworks. Everything ready except for the GPL. I just really don't get about the GPL thing.

   Do I need to include a file with GPL statements? or register the files to get GPL?

   sorry 'm a novice with theme release.

   http://www.gnu.org/licenses/ contains everything you need to know about GPL.

   FWIW, in the themes that I've released, I've added:

   Distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License

   In the comment block at the top of style.css (after the Theme Name, Version No. etc). I also include a copy of the GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE (which you can obtain at the above site) in the theme folder.

   thanks. yeah I was reading (skimming actually) that over and over before but cant find the right one.

   I already acquired some sample licenses over the web. Hope its ok now for release.
