   Hello,

   I'm looking for help with finding a multi-column WordPress theme that works more like an online magazine than a single-user blog.

   Visually I'd like it to look somewhat like NYTimes.com, where the home page can have anywhere from 3-7 columns using tables. Ideally, I'd like to have column 1 show only posts under certain specified categories, column 2 showing only posts under other certain specific categories, etc...

   I've scoured the web for such themes, but I find only single column oriented themes, and none using tables for mutliple columns...

   Has anyone seen themes such as this? Can someone point me in the right direction?... Thanks.

   I don't think you will find many themes for WP in general that are designed using tables, as WP is constructed in a manner to use XHTML and CSS.
   Not quite like the format your looking for, but still in a magazine mode, is the recently released gridlock theme, http://hyalineskies.com/wordpress/gridlock

   Thanks for the pointer. I think my real goal was to find a theme that uses the Loop in a certain way. I'll post a new topic for that....
