I just installed WordPress via my webhost who has it as an application. I want to use a free template from wordpress.org but cannot find one that is for MAC. The only ones I see are PC Zip files. :(

Aren't there any templates for mac users? If so, please tell me where to find them.

    THANKS!!!!

A theme isn't specific to Mac or PC.

You simply need an application to open the zip files.

    http://www.rarlab.com/ - Winrar
    and
    http://www.winzip.com/index.htm - Winzip

    are 2 of many...

    Info on .zip files.
    http://filext.com/file-extension/ZIP

It's basically a compressed archive of files, it's not specific to use on Mac or PC.

wordpress templates are not dependent on the OS you are using. the template files will work fine on a mac too.

i`m not a mac user, but is it not possible to unzip ZIP files on a mac? if not, get a converting software to extract the contents.

or...upload the zip file to the templates directory on your server and use the server`s file manager to extract the content of the archive.

Thank you so much both! I am new to php and other file types so thought it was for PC when i saw all the extensions. I have the template I want, and now can learn how to upload it!

    THANK YOU!!

All versions of OS X will unzip files without extra software; it's always been a part of the unix backend, I believe.
