Themeforest Theme not showing a custom.css file in editor

    Client wants me to modify the Beauty Salon theme by Red Factory but it needs a lot of custom css work. The theme’s documentation says to edit a custom.css file but I don’t see it in the Appearance>Editor menu in the dashboard. There’s a link to it in the header and it’s in a folder marked “styles” (/styles/custom.css) but I can’t figure out how to get to it to edit. Any idea how to do this?

    I’m sorry but as you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s vendors.

    Hi jennsweb,

    The wordpress theme editor do not browser any css files inside in any folder if you want to appear it to theme editor you should move the custom.css to the parent theme folder.

    You might get better answer if you would ask your theme provider.

    THanks! The reason I am asking here is because after jumping through multiple hoops with themeforest/enavato/redfactory just to find out how to actually post a question, I am STILL waiting for at least an acknowledgement that I even posted. At least here, people actually answer the questions.

    If forum volunteers are to help, they’re in-turn keeping vendors in business. This isn’t fair.

    @jennsweb: I’m sorry you’re having such a rough time of it but at the root of the problem is the fact that we simply do not have access to these commercial themes. So we can’t really help you. All I can suggest is that you use FTP to access the custom.css file, amend it locally and then re-upload the changed file.

    Hey Jennsweb,

    I see on Red Factory’s ThemeForest profile that they provide support through their forums here: http://www.redfactory.nl/themes/forum and they also note that they try to respond within 48 hours.

    Hopefully this means a reply for you isn’t far away!
