Theme wont activate

    Hi there all

    Newbie to WordPress here with a question

    I have installed WP with no problems. The default themes activate with no problems at all.

    I have bought a theme from themeforest (Striking), however, when I try to activate it I get a white blank screen.

    I then have to reinstall wp

    I have followed all instructions CHMOD the appropriate folders to 777
    etc but nothing.

    When I preview the theme in IE9 I get HTTP 500 error.

    The theme is well supported so its not that as far as I am aware.

    Anyone got any ideas.

    Hope i have explained myself adequately.

    You’ll need to contact Theme Forest for help with their theme — support is part of what you paid for and commercial themes are not supported here.

    I obviously did not explain myself.

    There is nothing wrong with the theme it works with everyone else.

    I have several themes yet they wont activate or preview.

    The default ones twenty twenty etc do activate and do preview

    Themes I have uploaded via ftp etc wont.

    I just get a blank screen if i activate and I have to reinstall WP
    if I preview i get http 500 error.

    Just wondering what i am doing wrong
