    Hey there,

I am planning to research the entire forum and learn more about web design, but in the mean time is there anyone who knows if it is even worth the time to try and have three images/logos below the twenty eleven menu bar on the home page and no text, blog etc?

I am using firebug and child themes and learning as much as possible...

    Something like http://www.cisco.com

    Thanx for any input...

You can put whatever you want on the home page -- no text or blog entries is fine. But there are themes that have that kind of basic format on a template (home page) -- so you might look at the themes to see if you find one that is more like what you want than twentyeleven. Of course, you can modify twentyeleven however you want, and that kind of thing is certainly doable -- but you would have to know quite a bit of html, css and maybe php.

Cisco's website is not WP, BTW, and they have a large staff of professional web people working on it full time, so probably not a very relevant comparison. So far as just the look, yes, quite doable.

First off, thank you so much for your time.

Right now I am just stuck on trying to get rid of my Hello world post (which now says Nothing Found)...I want to wipe the whole thing out...is the right way just to delete all relevant code by using my child style.css? something like..display = nada...

And thanx, I am not trying to be like cisco...not yet...I just want to get three boxes down there...

That is what I will be looking at next..

    The site is..

No, CSS just determines the appearance (style) of what is on the page. Though there is a display: none style -- but that's not how you delete a blog post. This should be helpful as to the basics of using WP:

There is also a delete option in the above section.
