Theme: Twenty eleven 1.3: Replacing site title with image (8 posts)

    Hello,
    Like many before me, I am trying, unsuccessfully so far, to replace my site title with a png image.
    My site (www.simenon.co) is hosted by Bluehost, and I used their File Manager to create a twentyeleven-child directory, in which I uploaded the png image to be used to replace the site title, and a style.css file with the following text:

    [please mark any code posted in the forum using the code button - http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Posting_Code - also, there is a max limit of 10 lines of code for direct posting]

    /*
    Theme Name: Twenty Eleven Child
    Author: John Simenon
    Description: Child theme for the Twenty Eleven Theme
    Template: Twentyeleven
    version: 0.1
    */

    @import url("www/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/style.css")

    #site-title a {
    	display: block;
    	width: 200px;
    	height: 30px;
    	background: url ("www/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven-child/simenon.co-000033.png");
    	text-indent: -9999em;
    }

    Now going into the Appearance/Themes of my WordPress Dashboard, I get the following info (and my site has not changed):

    Broken Themes: The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template. Twenty Eleven Child: The parent theme is missing. Please install the "Twentyeleven" parent theme.

    Please advise.

    Change Template: Twentyeleven to Template: twentyeleven.

    Thank you very much for such a fast feedback.

    It worked, to some extent: unfortunately, the effect is not the one I expected. Everything changes on the site (fonts, pictures, layout) and the png image does not even replace the site title.

    I guess I will have to work some more on CSS or get someone to do it…

    In the meantime, sorry for not using the code button and going over the 10-line limit. I am new at this

    Change @import url("www/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/style.css") to @import url(../twentyeleven/style.css")

    Thanks.
    Like this?:

    @import url("/twentyeleven/style.css")

    #site-title a {
    	display: block;
    	width: 200px;
    	height: 30px;
    	background: url ("www/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven-child/simenon.co-000033.png");
    	text-indent: -9999em;
    }

    Shall I leave the background url untouched or do the same?

    Change @import url("www/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/style.css") to @import url(../twentyeleven/style.css")

    Thanks.
    I did what you said, unfortunately to no avail:

    @import url(../twentyeleven/style.css")

    Best.

    Try activating your child theme.
