Featured images not showing when sharing to social media (7 posts)

    When I share my posts to social media using the addthis plugin, it doesn't use the featured image that I set in Suffusion.

    I am not sure if it is caused by the plugin or by Suffusion. Any ideas?

    Thanks :-)

    Hi, have you tried to deactivate the plugin and test to see if feature image is working again?

    I had a look at the latest plugin version addthis and there is 2 people that say that is broken. Maybe the latest version is not working according to plan.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

    I tried deactivating and reactivating, but it didn't resolve the feature image not showing up. There's not update for addthis available yet, but hopefully the issue will be resolved then.

    Until that time I'll keep my fingers crossed that Sayontan might find a little bug in the latest version of Suffusion that he can fix easily ;-)

    Are you using the latest version of Suffusion?
    Did this problem occur after you updated Suffusion if you updated the theme?
    or did this problem occur prior to updating Suffusion?

    What browser are you currently using?

    I am having the same issue. When I press the Pinit button on my AddThis bar, no image appears. I have a featured image selected. Any thoughts on how to get the Pinterest button to display an image? I would prefer it work off a set URL rather than the featured image.

    I found the solution. I added the below code in the "custom code" box for "above post" in the AddThis Plugin for WordPress.

    <!-- AddThis Button BEGIN -->
    <div class="addthis_toolbox addthis_default_style ">
    <a class="addthis_button_facebook_like" fb:like:layout="button_count"></a>
    <a class="addthis_button_pinterest" pi:pinit:url="http://www.thebleepkidssay.com" pi:pinit:media="http://www.thebleepkidssay.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/BigIcon.png" pi:pinit:layout="horizontal">
    <a class="addthis_button_tweet"></a>
    <a class="addthis_button_google_plusone" g:plusone:size="medium"></a>
    <a class="addthis_counter addthis_pill_style"></a>
    </div>
