Hey everyone.
First of all.. Responsive is probably the best WordPress theme their is. Keep up the good work :).
Like it says in my title I cannot find an option that will allow me to display my recent articles on the homepage instead of the message box/call to action or the widgets.
Thanks,
Keep up the great themes!

Hi Emil... I followed the article but no luck... I still have the call-to-action page with the 3 widgets.
Please post your question directly on http://themeid.com/forum and also this is what it should be showing http://themeid.com/blog/ I kept my default and also have a Blog section.
When you post your question on the forum please include your URL as well.

Love the Responsive theme! Converting my site to use this moment.
I have been trying to get to the themeid.com site forum all morning and get a time out, page taking too long to respond message?
Is this a temp problem? Please tell me so:)
Hi,
Please try again, today we had so many people in our forums that is why the site was slower than usual.
Thanks,
Emil
Thanks Emil. That is a good thing, you have a very nice theme and are a popular dude:)
I did get the site to load and joined the forum.

Hi,
I recently converted from Debonair to Responsive. For my homepage I only have blog, comment and reply form - not what I want! I want the home page template with 3 home page widgets in my header. My settings are already static page, and I am using the Home page template. I have been trying everything - what am I missing?

Thanks for the help!

Hi,
If you want the default layout please go to your Reading Settings and check if they look like this, if not just match the image and save.

Thank you! One more question: how do I edit the Home Page Widgets with text and a link to another page in my site? I see how I can add a Text widget with a title, but I also wanted a 'Learn More' link.
Go to Appearance > Widgets > Home Widgets 1,2 and 3. From there you are going to be able to add or change anything you need. Also see: http://themeid.com/forum/topic/849/wordpress-video-text-widgets/ (if needed)
Thanks,
Emil

Thanks so much for all the help! Another round of questions:
-how can I remove the blog post and comments showing up on each page under the title? http://datacenterdirect.com/products/ma … d-hosting/
-how can I remove the Leave a Reply box on each page?
-why is my homepage not showing up as a page in the pages menu for editing?
-how do I add a the contact form on my contact us page instead of the Leave a Reply? http://datacenterdirect.com/contact-us/
Thanks again,
Jan
Hi Jan,
For the contact form please try either Jetpack plugin or Contact Form 7. Reply box can be removed by disabling your comments and or closing the comments on this specific page.
Your home page is not using default Theme layout and also, there seems to be 3 different "home" items, most likely in your trash, please delete all of them and change your reading settings to this.

Thanks again, Emil! Comments and Reply are gone.
I can't figure out how to use either plugin you suggested. Is there a contact page template in this theme, or do I have to use a plugin? If not, how do I use a plugin?
Sincere thanks for your time.
Jan
There's no contact form template with Responsive and both plugins are self-explanatory. Contact Form 7 for example.
[contact-form-7 id="1234" title="Contact form 1"]

I am using the main home page still but the helpful post by Emil
here also works if you create a seperate blog page. Very impressed by the theme, thank you - I have used a longer image than recommended in the homepage which can be viewed at empty rates reduction if anybody is interested. Also the logo is flexible at the top i.e. make it longer and include additional content such as a call to action or phone number.

Terribly sorry, but themeid.com has been down all day now, and I'm unable to find an answer that doesn't tell me just to link to their forum for the answer. to the post question of setting recent posts on my home page.
I tried making a new page, setting to be a blog excerpt, and then setting that to be my static home page, but that is causing the css to get overwritten by .home #wrapper as well as removing the menu icon form the mobile version. So could someone please tell me the proper way to remove the default widgets and home page so I don't have to go in and gut out the php for it?
DreamHost is down, please give them a chance to resolve the power issue.

HELP!!!i can't get my responsive theme to show the default home page
It was working just fine and i updated the theme (WP notification of update) yesterday and now I cant bring it up.
I get '404 — Fancy meeting you here!'
'Don't panic, we'll get through this together. Let's explore our options here.'
Or if I set the reading setting to static and an existing public page it goes there but if I set the static page to '--Select--' it gives me the 404 error instead of going to the defualt page i have edited in theme options
Please see: http://cyberchimps.com/forum/free/responsive/
This thread is old and already marked resolved - not related to your issue.
