Not sure if I am thinking to0 hard, but how do I edit the widgets and/or remove the default layout? :)

Do I need to use the editor or am I supposed to be able to drag/drop/edit from Appearance > Widgets?

    Thanks! Awesome Theme!

    Hi,

Yes that would be it, drag+drop and that would change all three widgets. If you wish to switch away from default layout please see: http://themeid.com/forum/topic/537/reading-settings-changing-default-homepage/

    Thanks for using Responsive!

    Thanks for your quick response!

I am not able to drag and drop? Any suggestions?

When I am in the Widgets settings, I can click on the default widgets, and they will expand, but I can not move or edit them.

For example on Widget 3. I will click the widget and it will expand with:
    Home Widget 3
    Area Eight - sidebar-home.php

    Thanks!

Here's small guide where each widget will be positioned:

Blog (full posts) = Main Sidebar
Blog Excerpt (summary) = Right Sidebar
    Content/Sidebar = Right Sidebar
Content/Sidebar Half Page = Right Sidebar Half Page
    Sidebar/Content = Left Sidebar
Sidebar/Content Half Page = Left Sidebar Half Page

If drag+drop does not work at all, the only thing I could say is that browser's JavaScript is disabled and that can be checked easily with http://enable-javascript.com/

    Thanks,
    Emil

I am trying to edit the Home Widget 1,2, and 3 text...but when in Appearances>Widgets and clicking on the widget on the right it just displays the PHP page...and drag and drop does not work.

PHP from WordPress Dashboard? That's weird, you should not have that in your widgets. Anyways, here the live test http://screencast.com/t/bQTxMSzVQOSN and http://wordpress.tv/2009/08/03/the-text-widget-for-wordpress/ just in case that video above loads too slow :)

    Thanks,
    Emil

Don't mind me...I'll be over here in a ball crying. My fault...I was doing it backwards.

A thousand hail mary's for me. LOL

    Thanks for the help!

For others that may stumble upon this...You drag the AVAILABLE widget over TO the 'Home Widget 1' not the other way around.

    Hi Emil,

First of all, thank you for this wonderful theme. I am currently working on a pro-bono project and using it to revamp a npo site. I am having the hardest time though, trying to figure out why the three home widgets won't appear on my front page! Any help would be greatly appreciated. (I am working off a child theme.)

    Cheers

OK, I've had the same problem, unable to do anything with the Home Widgets, can't drag n drop, no Edit button. I'm using WP 3.5.1.
I just want to amend the text that's already in Home Widgets 1, 2 and 3 - can't understand why it's no accessible.
The notes on the theme need to be corrected. Been banging my head on my desk for hours!!
