[Theme: Responsive] Adding a header.php file to Responsive child (4 posts)

I'm trying to add a header.php template in my responsive child directory. The child theme of the Responsive theme was created before I started working on it, by another person working on the same website, but this directory does not seem to have a header.php file when looking at it from the Appearance-->Editor section of wordpress. How can I add the header.php file from the Responsive parent class to the Responsive child class, because I need to do this in order to edit the header.php file.

Using a plain text editor make a copy of the header.php file from the parent and then upload the copy of the file to your child theme using FTP.

I didn't create the initial child theme, so how do you upload the copy of the file to the child theme using FTP. This may be trivial, but fairly new at using WordPress, so I appreciate the help.

You'll need to contact your hosting company about using FTP with your site and the necessary access information.
