[Theme: Pinboard] slider & header img problems

Hi everyone,

I’m new to wordpress and I set up this blog for my cinema reviews: http://www.framesaddicted.com/ I tried pinboard theme and I liked it so much but I’ve some problems with the header image and the slider feature.

1 – I uploaded the header image that you can see here: http://www.framesaddicted.com/ The image is 1499 X 329. I know that the recommended size is 392 X 96 but I’d like to insert a longer header that continue near the social icons. Do you know if there are problems about the header design on mobile and different browsers if I use an image larger than recommended?

2 – I’ve also set up a post in the slider with feature image but I’ve seen that the same post is shown also under the slider. In this case the article in the slider is shown twice. Do you know how can I solve this problem?
