[Theme: Piano Black] Dropdown script conflicting with plugin scripts (5 posts)

A user of my plugin Meteor Slides reported a conflict with the Piano Black theme. I tested them together and the jscript.js script for the dropdown menus is breaking jQuery Cycle in my plugin and others as well I'd guess.

Not sure what the conflict is, I removed this file and jQuery Cycle works fine, but the dropdown menus don't work at all. You might want to do some testing on that script, but I would suggest having a CSS fallback for the dropdowns so that if JavaScript is disabled the menus still work.

Hi JLeuze - did you figure this out? I have the same conflict between the jscript.js and Gravity forms on my site. The form will not submit:

If I get rid of the jscript.js, the menus don't work (of course) but the form submits. Let me know if you have any tips. Thanks!!

Hi Jean, I didn't get this figured out. That jscript.js file is kind of a mess, my only suggestion would be to scrap it and use some CSS and/or jQuery instead. Not the easiest fix, but it would save you some headaches down the road I'm sure!

Thanks JLeuze. I did decide to scrap it but am now having problems porting my CSS to the native WP menu feature. Is this something you might be able to help me with? Thanks in any case!!

Hi JLeuze! Thanks for the advice. I did scrap the Piano Black menu (jscript.js) and am now using a plugin (PixoPoint). All is good and the Gravity Form is working fine now. Thanks for tracking this!
