Hey. I added a sidebar on oursonshines.com but on my sarahhalstead.com I had the theme installed but there was no where to add widgets to make the sidebar. So I uninstalled it. Does it have something to do with my old/current theme genesis?

Not sure what you mean. When you activate Pachyderm on sarahhalstead.com, you should be able to activate the sidebar by adding some widgets under Appearance -> Widgets.

Yes. That is how I did it on oursonshines.com but it isn't even showing the primary sidebar section when the theme is activated on sarahhalstead.com so it won't let me drag the widgets anywhere.

Hmm, I'd start by deactivating all plugins to check for a conflict. If that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall the theme.
