• I removed the widgets from the primary sidebar and also added this code in CSS editor: #content {
    margin-left: 0;
    }
    suggested on a previous thread but this has not resolved my problem. There is still a left sidebar, auto-filled with categories and archives. On the posts pages everything has shifted over so it has been partially successful but the text just overlays the unwanted text.

    I would like to remove the left sidebar completely and free this space up so that on the front page everything moves over the the left more, and on the posts there is more space for the text of the posts. I would like to keep the right sidebar.

    I cannot code at all. I am a doctor and medical school teacher. I would be really grateful for some help.

    My site is: http://www.quclms.com

    Thanks for your help.

    This level of modification involves changing image sizes in theme function too. So you need to create a child theme for it, but WP.COM managed host wouldn’t allow anything more than Custom CSS.

    Anyway, this request is possible with CSS-only but the downside is that images in front page will get enlarged with CSS from it’s original size, so it will lose some clarity.
