Make sure your style.css file has an appropriate theme header. See this doc for details:

Thats what I thought but here is my css file:

    http://elementsofseo.com/wp-content/themes/elements-of-seo/style.css

it seems fine to me but maybe i'm missing something.

The weirdest thing is that when i uploaded it the very first time, i got the same error, but then I re-uploaded it and everything is fine. I've tested it on WP 2.5.1, 2.0.2 and 2.0.4 and not had any problems since.

The 3 new people who have downloaded it (all for 2.5.1) all seem to be saying their having the same error. I know 2 of them have uploaded it more than once so now im really lost.

If by chance anyone wants to try it, you can download it here:

any thoughts or suggestions as to why this is happening would be great.

    Hey drewsto,

I took a look and it seems to me that the CSS file is using hard carriage return instead of a line feed. More info:

    http://www.paulmc.org/whatithink/2007/03/25/cr-vs-lf-vs-crlf/

I'm on a Linux machine, so I just copied the text of the style.css file and pasted it into a new doc, which gave it the proper line endings. Then, the screenshot.png file shows up fine.

I posted a fixed version here.

Let me know if that works for you.

You may only need to re-upload the changed version of the CSS file, drewsto - try that first.

i re-uploaded the style sheet and the theme (hopefully) is ready to go.

Now just waiting to hear back from folks that tried it. i was never able to replicate the problem so it made it kind of hard to test for.
