• I am considering releasing a novel in audio form and am (of course) interested in using WordPress plus Podpress for the website. The problem is that I’m having a hard time finding a theme which reflects a kind of epic fantasy feel (sword and sorcery, etc., but not of the pulp variety…or at least I hope not 😉 )–some gothic, some science fiction, but not a whole lot of fantasy. Since I’m swamped with trying to get a whole bunch of things ready to bring the work live, I don’t really have time to write a whole theme myself. Can anyone recommend something along this line that I could take a look at (or, if there are any aspiring theme writers out there… 🙂 )?

    Thanks much,
    Greg

  • There are a ton of freelance designers out there to build a theme. Some might help out just because, while others might want to be compensated for a little work. Ask around and you might find someone to suit your needs.

Thanks, phaticon…yeah, I’m starting that asking around process right here, at the source as it were… 🙂 But any suggestions would be most welcome.

Well I personally don’t know any designers on these forums, as i’m pretty new myself around here. I’m just trying to help out as much as I can since I am a designer. Maybe you could post a “looking for a designer” in the Misc forum, or find a theme that is close to what you want and just modify it to your needs. For my site I couldn’t find anything that I liked so I made my own for two different tech sites I part own.

Yeah–wish I had time for that, but as I mentioned I just don’t…which is why I was hoping someone might have run into a theme of this kind :)…if this thread doesn’t bear fruit I might try your “looking for a designer thread” idea.

I could help out if I had sometime to do it, but right now all my paying work comes first since it’s my only income.
