    As stated in the title, I'm using the WooThemes Mainstream theme. I'm posting here because as it's a free theme, WooThemes doesn't provide support unless you pay for a costly subscription :/

    Oh dear - posted too quickly - sorry for that!

    My problem is the following: I'd like to remove the RSS Feed "button" in the section on the upper right corner of the theme - but cannot figure out how. There's no option to do so in the "Theme Options" folder - you can only put in Facebook and/or Twitter addresses there (or not - if you don't , they won't show up online), but there's no option for "not showing" the RSS.

    When the theme was reviewed back in 2009, one reviewer wrote "I like how there’s a section on the upper right corner of the theme dedicated for the RSS feed, Twitter and Facebook, which makes it easy for readers and visitors to subscribe to the blog. You can always modify this and customize to your own personal preference like if you’re not using Twitter or Facebook and would like to replace the links with Myspace, FriendFeed, Plurk or other social networking sites or social bookmarking sites." - but how is that possible? Thanks in advance for any help!

    Sorry but that's not a theme we support here. It may be free but it's still a commercial theme.

    That said (really we don't support that theme) if you can create a child theme and add this to your CSS

    #about {
       display: none;
    }

    Then that whole box will stop being displayed. Then you can install a plugin that will let you add social media widgets to your sidebar.

    That may get you closer to where/what you want to do.

    I figured it out myself and tinkered with the index.php ;) But thanks anyway, I read up on child themes, so I did also learn a lot :)
