I'm having serious trouble getting a theme working for me.
Here's the story so far:
I have a client's domain set up and hosted on a server.
I have installed WordPress on the domain.
I uploaded a theme I want to use through the wp-admin - appearance panels.
Everything seemed to be going well until I ran into massive unsolvable problems on trying to link to images which I had placed in the image directory of the theme (according to their instructions). Images I had deleted from the directory were still appearing the admin panels etc etc. A NIGHTMARE.
SO, I uninstalled WordPress from the domain and did a fresh install. But when I look at the wp files in the domain directory the date is back in June... So I'm suspicious. But I go ahead and upload my theme to the wp-content-themes folder, all full of hope for a solution (despite having to start from scratch)., BUt, the theme is not appearing in the appearance options area!
SO, I removed the theme folder from the directory and try an install via the wordpress admin theme uploader. Seemed to work, but the theme folder is not apprearing in the domain directory.
I am a newbie to web speak/code/everything(!) so maybe someone can help me here? I would be so very grateful.

I'm on an iMac, using Safari
The theme I want to use is Atahualpa
I have installed the latest version of WP
