Changing from blog to static pages makes it look from http://tinyurl.com/ktqv8c to http://tinyurl.com/mhw3kw

So I created my theme but now that I'm trying to create a static home page my theme breaks.
It's supposed to be something like this http://userqqqq.123bemyhost.com/

but at the actual blog page http://userqqqq.123bemyhost.com/blog/ it only works when posts are front page.

You either need to edit page.php within your theme or create a custom page template for your home page.

well I found part of the problem in the course of other cleanup.

Turns out I had two body tags which Chrome handles by completely falling apart. It looks perfectly ok on Firefox.

I'm still not sure why it only happened when changing to static but I fixed it and it works fine now. Thanks for the help.
