   I'm trying to upload a new theme to WordPress and all I get is:

   Unpacking the package…

   Nothing else happens, no error messages, just tells me it's Unpacking for hours...

   Any ideas what is wrong?

   Try adding AddType x-mapp-php5 .phpto the top of your WordPress .htaccess file.

   Don't have a .htaccess file. My WordPress install is in my root directory and I have no idea how to create one.

   If you can create files from your ftp client, that will be the easiest way. Just create .htaccess

   If not, just create a .htaccess file on your desktop and upload it. You can edit it in any text editor.
