   As you can see the site title appears a second time beneath the menus but above the first post.

   Is this intentional? Can it be removed? If so, how?

   You can change that title from the inLine Settings area. Go to Appearance > inLine Settings and in the Default Blog Title input field, enter in the text you want to appear for the blog title.

   If that doesn't work let me know.
