There is a guide in the readme, but in short…

    Create some Posts
Assign a Featured Image to each post
If you want to feature certain posts in the slider, create a category called Featured and assign some posts to it
Set your options in the Appearance Theme Options menu
    Profit! 🙂

Thanks for the reply. I have the slider working fine. But i still can’t get the grid look! Bummed! The options settings are on grid. Maybe it’s a problem with the homepage? It is a static page, not a post. Or when i create posts do i need to give them a special category? BTW i can’t find the readme file anywhere. Give me on a tip on this too, thanks!!!

Ah, the home page should be set to display your posts, since the grid layout only applies to the blog index and archive pages. A static home page won’t display the grid view.

The readme file is located within the theme folder when you download it from the repository (you probably won’t see it if you found the theme by searching within Appearance -> Themes).

Yeah! Thank you so much. Changing the home page settings in settings/reading made the difference. Thanks again!
