Theme "Fullscreen" drop-down menus not working (11 posts)

I'm using the Graph Paper Press theme "Fullscreen".

First.... I had to use an alternate method for generating the thumbnails for the main page. I had to use the WordPress option of using a "Featured Image" to get the homepage thumbnails to work.

Now... the problem I can't find a fix for is that the drop-down menus on the home page aren't generating. On the WordPress menu page it says:

"The current theme does not natively support menus, but you can use the “Custom Menu” widget to add any menus you create here to the theme’s sidebar."

I had to create a WordPress menu widget, which place the menus where they're supposed to go, but it doesn't do drop-down menus.

Does anyone know why I'm having these problems?

    TIA!

The Fullscreen theme drop-down menus are still not working, but I found a plug-in that I can use for the time being until I figure out why the built-in drop-down menus aren't working in the theme.

How did you get this to work?

I have the same problems with the navigation. Just updated to 3.0 and created a child theme of Fullscreen hoping i could modify a php file to solve this.

    Any suggestions?
    thanks

Did you find a fix for the navigation problem?

Mine isn't even showing the navigation at all?
    Is there a work around?

I am having the same problem... My navigation will not show on the Fullscreen theme. It does not show at all in Firefox but in IE there is a static drop down menu, showing my pages, over my site title. Can find no way in WordPress to fix this.

Would appreciate more info about the menu plugins/widget fix used by thistlecat or any other advice.

Seems like there is broken CSS code in this theme?

    Thanks!

Sorry for not answering these questions sooner! I guess I forgot to tick the option to be notified when there were responses to this post.

    I found 2 plug-in which were helpful:

    JQuery Drop Down Menu

    and

    Ryans Suckerfish WordPress Dropdown Menu

Where do I put the jquery code in order for the menu to show up in the middle of the theme next to the site title?

I've been parsing code for a couple hours, and nothing I do gets it right.

I put the jquery code in 4 places: header.php, image.php, page.php and single.php. For the main page to be honest I can't remember which one php page mod got it on the main page in the center but it did. I had to add some dots after the description of my site though to get it in the position that I wanted it.

I don't really have time to tell you exactly where I put the code on all 4 pages. Try experimenting with it and if you figure out which php page controls the main page and can't figure out where to put the code I'll tell you where I put it on that one page.

Well, if someone finds out, i would be interested to know the EXACT jquery code you need, and WHERE to put it into those files.

My problem is: I only have one (CATEGORIES) drop-down menu on my home page. I want to add more !

    thanks
