    @davidtcarson - First of all a gr8 theme.
    I would like to suggest you an option.It would be cool if you add the cover photo for user's wall replacing that plain grey background (behind the profile pic and the display name of the user).It would look even better than the facebook cover photo if you add this because the name of the user (as in bp) will be displayed in front of the cover photo(giving the user the ability to upload a cover photo in his page).

    Hello @davidtcarson

    I use bp-custom-background-for-user-profile plugin

    and I change the file bp-custom-background-for-user-profile/bp-custom-background-for-user-profile.php -> Plugin Editor

    <style type="text/css">
    .my-account div#item-header, .my-activity div#item-header{
    background:url(<?php echo $image_url;?>);
    width: 100%;
    background-size: 100%;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    }
    </style>

    @somdefabrica - thanks for the suggestion. Works great. Question: Where is the template being used for the edit background image screen? I am using a custom theme and all other buddypress views are using my custom template files, but not the edit screen for custom background.

    @somdefabrica

    Thank you for this, it worked great!
    I have just used it also on this plugin http://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-group-customizer-lite/ so you can do the same for wallpaper on groups.

    In bp-group-customizer-lite/bp-group-customizer.php
    change to this

    <style type="text/css">
                body.is-single-group div#item-header{
                    background:url(<?php echo $image;?>);
    				width: 100%;
                                    height: 350px;
                                    background-size: 100%;
                                    background-repeat: no-repeat;
                }
            </style>
