Is WordPress a suitable design tool for creating a site for a friend who is an author?
I've never used WordPress and i'm looking to create a site with admin section to allow the owner to edit parts of the site.
I need a solution to aid a quick design and implimentation.
I'm creating the site for free so i don't want to have to create the structure of the site from scratch.
Hope someone can advise me

Hello Andy,
I am also an author, and yes it would work. The only problem would be finding hosting if you want it to be free. Unless you go to WordPress.com (I am not familiar with it, but it should be very similar). The way this works is to download it onto a server, then it has a login page to a dashboard. They would be able to login to an admin section and edit content. This allows for quick design and implementation because of the available themes. Also because of the themes, you will not have to create the structure from scratch. Let me know if I can be of any more help.
