Theme failed, can't login, can't locate theme in ftp (4 posts)

    Hello,

    The theme on my website failed. I can't login to the dashboard or visit the website.

    I know that I need to switch out the theme by renaming the broken theme in the FTP.

    However I can't locate the theme in the FTP database. I can see other themes, but not the one that I need. I have checked everything from the root folder down.

    Where else could this theme be located?

    Is there another way to reset the theme?

    It should be in the themes folder:

    wp-content
         themes
             twentysomething themes
             your theme

    FTP doesn't access the database - the above should be files/folders on your server.

    What's the URL of your site? What theme are you using?

    It is awakeningnuenergy.com

    It is not listed under wp-content themes, however twentysomething themes are listed there.

    This is not my website, I am trying to help a friend.

    Could it be in another database? It states that she has 2 databases. How would I access that?

    It's not in a database - themes files are in a directory on the server. The error message shows where it is located:

    html/cms/wp-content/themes/customizr/parts/class-main-footer.php on line 88

    You need to rename the customizr folder:

    wp-content
        themes
            customizr.RENAME THIS FILE

    How are you accessing the site files on the server? Are you using FTP - are you sure you are connected correctly? Where is the site hosted?
