Nav bar gradient & search bar title missing in Internet Explorer (2 posts)

    Website: http://meyershouse.org
When viewed in Internet Explorer (8/XP or 9/Win7), the navigation bar gradient does not appear. Also, the text label "search this website" which appears inside the nav bar search field in other browsers is not visible in IE. The drop down menus also operate less smoothly in IE, although this is most noticeable on older computers running XP (those same computers display the dropdown menus in FireFox without that jerkiness or delay, however).

I did edit the nav bar colors in custom css, but removing those alterations doesn't restore the gradient or search field label.

It's possible I changed something in one of the other theme files, as I experimented with some other edits before I discovered the custom css feature of the theme.

So my question is, should the nav bar display a gradient and a label for the search field in IE? And if so, where and what is the code that controls that?

    You're missing CSS3 that applies gradients cross-browser.
Try using the code generated by ColorZilla.
Make sure to tick the IE9 checkbox and follow the instructions too.
