Theme editor problems (2 posts)

Hey folks, wonder if anyone could give a clue on this...

Whenever I try to edit a theme, I get this:

Warning: fopen([domain details])\wwwroot/wp-content/themes/default/rtl.css): failed to open stream: Permission denied in [domain details])\wwwroot\wp-admin\theme-editor.php on line 44

Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in [domain details])\wwwroot\wp-admin\theme-editor.php on line 45

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in [domain details])\wwwroot\wp-admin\theme-editor.php on line 46

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [domain details])\wwwroot\wp-admin\theme-editor.php:44) in [domain details])\wwwroot\wp-admin\theme-editor.php on line 55

In fact, I don't even have to edit anything - if I just enter the theme editor and click 'update file' without touching anything, the same thing still comes up.

Hopefully I can work around it for now by editing the theme files in Notepad and re-uploading them but it'd be nice to have a solution if anyone's got an idea.

    Cheers.

A brief update, I've just discovered that the same error occurs with the plugin editor too.
