The problem goes away when I switch to another theme. Any ideas? :(

500 errors could occur for any number of reasons, most likely its a plugin that has the same function name as one that is used in Easel (don't know, cause I always precursor all my functions)
The best thing to do is check your hostings php error log to see what the error is then report that back to the thread.
