    Hi everyone.
    I updated from WP 1.8 to WP 2.5.1 today and I ran across a couple problems.

    1. The audio player is not being supported in my pages.
    I used to have a separate plugin (miniaudioplayer) that was the same code as the WP code now and it worked, but for some reason it always renders the code instead of the player.
    I've tried [audio file, audio: and audio= and none of them work.
    I know the url works because they worked with the previous, plug-in version. Could this be because I made the theme myself and I didn't put code in to support the audio player?

    2. I tried to switch to visual mode to see if I could insert audio in that way, but I'm stuck in html mode. I don't mind working in HTML mode, but it would be a little faster to work in Visual mode. I went onto my profile, through users, and I didn't see an option to check or un-check visual/html mode.

    3. I have something weird on my index.php--I cannot select any text. (I can select on individual pages, but I can't -get- to individual pages because the links and such are not click-able)

    my link is at: http://discojing.com/story/wp/
    (also seen at http://discojing.com in frames)

    and I'm running Windows XP Pro and Firefox 1.8.1.4
    Thank you for any help!

    You need to upgrade all your plugins to the most recent versions and confirm that they work with 2.5.1.

    oh, I'm just talking about the audio code that supposedly comes with WP 2.5.1

    I know that the miniaudioplayer plugin works, but I'm trying to use the WP [audio http://........mp3 code, and it doesn't work...

    I think if you post the path to your audio file like so;
    <a href='http://www.myblog.com/audio/1.mp3' >Listen to this!</a>

    it will open with the default client pc audio player ( Quicktime, WMP, whatever), and play for your guests. The syntax you suggest; [audio:1.mp3], (just for example), reminds me of the default setting for the Audio Player plugin, which provides a very nice player for your guests to control as well as never steering them to another page or media player pop-up. It is flash based, and in my opinion, works extremely well. It can also be customized for appearance. It may be worth taking a look at.

    Best wishes.
