Theme: Custom Community (Settings)

I am having problems removing the blog posts – everything that I can find is set to “hide”. The “search” area will not let me adjust it for size or position, either. I really like that I can put the logo image over the header background and it responds as a link, it seems more customizeable than other themes. Have also noticed where other people have a lot of problems with this theme. Am just learning WordPress, is there another theme that offers the registration, community type page?

I am getting really frustrated as cannot even find any video tutorials on the theme. Are there any videos out there? I could figure it out with a video…

I can code HTML, but do not know how to do the registration, registrar created pages, registrar picture uploads, payment, etc., just the basic site code and CSS is what I learned to get an Associates Degree.
