    I'm trying to decrease alpha transparency of my footer image but the transparency applies to the widgets/widget content as well. Is there a way to make it so transparency only applies to the image? The css I'm using may not be correct:

    #footer{
    background-image:
    filter:alpha(opacity=60);
        filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(opacity=0.6);
        opacity:.60; }

    }

    I'm also trying to make the footer widget title backgrounds transparent, used firebug to find it once and it worked but I removed it, now I can't seem to find it again.

    okay, I got the footer widget title backgrounds transparent again:

    div#leftsidebar h3.widgettitle, div#sidebar h3.widgettitle, div.widgetarea h3.widgettitle {
        background-color: transparent;

    }

    but my footer widgets are still taking the alpha transparency I wanted for just the background image, I'm not sure if it's a wordpress thing or if my css is wrong, probably the later.
