Theme creator says threaded comments too complex? (4 posts)

I wanted to enable threaded comments on my blog because I just moved it over from typepad and my readers are used to it. The theme I bought (ProPhoto) does not have that option. When I contacted them about it they replied: "I'm sorry, but there isn't any capability to have threaded comments within ProPhoto. It is a very complex integration and not something that we have added at this point or can easily add."

My question is two fold. Is there any way around their coding and if not are they wrong about the threaded comments being too hard to integrate? I'd like to write them back with a link about how to do it because it doesn't seem like they have any intention of getting to it.

    Thanks,
    Amber

Normally threaded comments take about 5 minutes to do....

BUT.... if the theme is complex, and they have their own callback or whatever, then that's another story.....

Basically hard to say without looking at the code, but I don't see how it could be all that hard integrating a WP function.....

And it's not that complex. Plus this has been available since WordPress 2.7, so it's not as if they haven't had plenty of time to bring their them up-to-date.

Thanks for the link esmi. I didn't think it was that hard, off to email them.
