As soon as I activate the theme it throws a server error and I get a white screen for the admin panel. On the front end the theme appears to be working. Anyone have any ideas as why this is happening?

I am having the same problem, although I'm running WordPress 3.4.0. The ColorWay theme (only) appears fine on the site view, but trying to switch to the dashboard or any settings screen just pulls up a white screen. Switching to a different theme by hand, the (specific) blog works fine. If it's important, we're running a Multisite install, with about 200 blogs and ~30 other themes (none of the others are having any issues).
Whats your website address ?
When you try to login to the WordPress Dashboard, Is there just plain white screen or any kind of error as well.
Also, Is there some specific plugin which is causing the Issue, can you turn OFF all your plugins and see if the issue resolves.
If it does resolves the issue, activate the plugin one by one, to know which exact plugin was creating the issue. Do let me know and If there is an problem, I would update the theme asap.
I actually updated to WP 3.4.1 and that resolved the issue. Guess it was caused by the older version of WP. I think I was running 3.2.
