I have ColorWay on at last six sites, one hosting account, and don’t have that problem at all. I’d check your hosting account. Unless you have some kind of conflict with a plugin.
I notice the theme is slow when viewing the main site, not the backend. The problem is actually the custom font that is used. Its absolutely massive.
Look in the functions.php file for the Champagne font… and delete it. Over 500KB for a horrible font – man alive!

I want to know if someone find a solution for the slowness of the subject. I remove the following line from the file “function.php” but no improvement:

I always get a score of 49 out of 100. Which penalizes me on Google. I love this theme and I want to keep it, knowing it is there’s the possibility of better optimized.
Colorway Theme is not slow at all, It take a little time to load cufon font, As website looks more attractive with the fonts, However it’s easy to change the fonts. You can edit just a line of code and your problem cufon font get removed completely.
