   Hi,

   I am new to WP, and could use some help. I made some changes to my theme a few days ago (WP Classic Theme), and all was fine until today, when I went to my site and see that all the changes I made are gone.

   Any ideas what could have happened?

   I didn't make that many changes, so it's no big deal to go edit it again, but this could get annoying if it becomes an ongoing thing.

   I did upgrade to 2.7 the other night, but the edits to my theme were still showing even after the upgrade, so I don't think that would have done it.

   Has anyone else ever had something like this happen?

   your browser may have a cached version so clear browser cache and site cookies and look at it

   Thanks, I tried that. The changes are long gone.

   One idea...when I upgraded, I clicked the option for auto upgrade. Could that have something to do with it?

   Yes. It overwrote your changes. Did you backup a copy of your changes? If you didn't, you'll have to start over.

   That explains it! Thanks so much. I did make a copy of my changes, so I can fix it. I will just have to remember to do the upgrades manually in the future.

   You don't have to do the upgrades manually, just always have a backup of any changes you made so you can replace them :)
