I read the Codex, and know how to activate a new theme. Can anyone advise me how to prepare (header photo, background photo, column format, etc.) a theme before switching to it, so that my readers won't know I'm working on making a change? It's like changing clothes in public, and I don't like that idea. I want a seamless switch to my new theme, already dressed in its new outfit!

Thanks for the tip. I am not going to use it yet, as I have someone else now working on the theme for me. If I don't like what they do, and have to take care of it myself, I will give this plug-in a try.
