    Hey guys!
    I'm new to wordpress and recently downloaded the catch box Theme which I really like. One reason to choose the catch box theme was the great Slider.
    I created a static front page and the Slider works fine there. But: it also appears on the Blog page where only my Entries should be displayed. Is there a possibility to remove the slider only form the blog page?

    my website: http://www.SBbilder.de

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi SBbilder,

    I am bit confused how the slider is there in your blog page and homepage.

    First question: have you customized the theme or just use it as default then I will find solution for you.

    But for now you can hide it in your blog page using the following css in the Custom CSS box in your Theme Option page.
    .blog #slider {
    display: none;
    }

    Sakin

    Hi Sakin,

    Great! Thanks a lot for this solutoin =)

    How I customized:
    I didn't change any code. All Settings were made by the options the wordpress interface offers. When i set the home page option to "static" and clicked the option to post my entries only on the page named "blog" the slider appeared on both pages. The only plugin i use is NextGEN Gallery.

    Reagrds,
    SB

    Hi SB,

    It's great that css work fine for you.

    You have done custom blog page. It is not a normal page as I can see there is blog posts. So to fix this I need to know what extra you added in the blog page.

    Regards,
    Sakin

    I had the same issue as the poster. I just created a page called "home" and another called "blog" and set the read options to static "home" page and posts to go to the "blog" page. In that case the slider shows up on both "home" and "blog" pages.

    I used the css display:none which removes it from my blog page, but I'm curious why it's necessary. Are you saying it shouldn't show up there to begin with?

    Tim
