   I would like to remove the Search form entirely. Have a child theme for Catch Box locally so I can't provide a link. I'm fine editing CSS but know nothing about PHP.
   Can I just remove search.php and edit out the styling in my child theme?

   You can just hide it with CSS,
   if you link us a Pastebin.com of your HTML and CSS, we can help you accomplish it.

   Thank you Andrew - I just commented out get_search_form in header.php
   Seems to be all I need to do.

   I have a better way..

   Go to appearace>Theme options>select-Disable Search in Header. DONE..
