• Hello all,

My website (sowelltractorco.com) is having a weird problem. When I set the Appearance->Reading settings to show a static page, the home page being my page titled “Home” and my posts page being a page titled “Blog” the site spits out this error:

Too many redirects occurred trying to open “http://sowelltractorco.com/”. This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page.

How can I fix this? I realize it is likely an issue with my template so here is the code for my template. Please help me understand how to fix this so I don’t have this problem in the future.

    try:

-deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to narrow down and possibly fix the problem. If the problem goes away, activate them individually to find the culprit.

-switching to the default theme (“twentyten”) for a moment by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes. The idea is to force WordPress to fall back to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific issue.

Well I imagine it’s a theme issue. That’s why I posted the template code. The mods edited it though so I will post a pastebin shortly.

I had a similar issue. I resolved it by going in to my DNS zone editor and deleting the CNAME record for the domain. The A Name record still existed for the domain.
