• Hello

    Recently I purchased and installed the Bullet Press premium theme on my WordPress.org site and had problems trying to get the Revolution Slider (theme punch) to work on my home page. After searching through WP support this seemed to be due to an apparent conflict between the slider and WP version 3.6.1 but I nevertheless tried copying and pasting the code (with changed alias) into the theme stylesheet editor – first the page template, which changed nothing, then the theme functions template, which made the slider appear at the bottom of my homepage (not where it was supposed to be!) – but then I was suddenly unable to get back in to my dashboard. Instead I had this white screen of death appear, so I went into /wp-content via my host provider and changed the name of the theme to ‘Bullet Press-old’ which subsequently allowed me back in. However, now my Bullet Press theme is ‘broken’ and will not load!

    I am at my wit’s end with this and almost tearing my hair out. All I want is a god damn slider on my homepage, and now I seem to have completely messed up my blog 🙁

    The domain is: http://69.195.124.78/~cheekyja/

    (that’s another thing – I need to change the domain so that it is simply ‘cheekyjaunt.com’ and I know this involves fiddling around with namesavers but after all this I am just terrified that I will f*ck that up as well!)

    Please help!

    Josh

  • Download a new copy of the theme and reinstall it?

    Thanks for responding.

    I’ve just done that and now I’m back in. New copy installed and running, but still can’t get slider plugin to work!! I know that this is probably an issue with theme punch as it is their plugin but I honestly can’t see how I’m going wrong here. Should I paste the html code into the stylesheet editor, the page template or something else? This is what the code looks like:

    <?php putRevSlider("homepageslider","homepage") ?>

    Only CSS goes in a style.css file. You need to put php code in the template file where you want that to appear – which one depends on the theme and where you want it to show up.

    These forums don’t support commercial products, so you may need to ask the theme developers for help with this.

    Is that a paid plugin too?

    Yeah I thought as much. So I tried inserting it into the theme functions template file and that’s when I couldn’t get in to my dashboard.

    The slider plugin came included in a special offer with mojo market place, so yeah, paid. I’ve asked on theme punch’s support forum but heard nothing so far.

    Thanks for your help regardless!
