Like the post below, I tried to set featured image as well as insert image intp post with featured category checked off. I get double images on the front page. One in the slider, and another as a post. How can I have just the slider image?

I just figured it out. The only way not to see the bottom image is to limit your posts to one per page and add a new post with no image.

Does anyone have a live working example of the slider image showing up? I get the background and such but the images aren't loading in the slider. HELP!? does the author check his template forums?

If you want just the slider image go to the post-excerpt.php and remove the line
<?php the_post_thumbnail('post-image', array('class' => 'imgthumb')); ?>nothing else needs to be changed after that.
