Theme and general "look" has disappeared! (7 posts)

When I originally installed WP yesterday, everything looked right (I know what "right" is because I have used WP without issue on other sites). My theme was working and the admin pages looked like they were supposed to. And when I came in this morning, all of the page design had been stripped down to this raw HTML.

See this screenshot of the admin page:

    And see the blog:

I tried re-installing wordpress and looked into MySQL and I can't for the life of me figure out why everything changed to this prehistoric look instead of the usual prettiness of WP.

Is this a common problem? Is there a common solution?

Did you check with your host to see if they changed or "upgraded" anything earlier? Like any of the backend programs they use (apache, mysql, php), or if they added some stringent security measures to, perhaps, the mod_security ruleset?

Thank you. I think it was a MySQL problem, because I was doing work with other databases. Also my FTP client was acting up. I opted to just uninstall everything and re-install and it works now.

I'm having the same exact problem. Was wondering if your host was Netfirms too. Guess I'll try reinstalling.

If there is something easier than reinstalling everything (like maybe one file that is out of wack) that would be helpful... Otherwise, if reinstalling everything is the correct answer, perhaps that it is resolved.
