Theme absent on FTP server folder

    I am installing my second blog. Using the same theme as my first, it is up and running and appears to be working, but when I login to my FTP server the new theme does not show up in the folder. (I’m trying to swap out a few of the files). Is there lag time between the upload and visibility on the FTP server? Any ideas?
