[Theme: 2014]CSS Translation

    Is there a translation of Theme 2014 CSS to standard CSS? I’d like to do a child theme, but my CSS fu is not that adept.

    What in particular about Twenty Fourteen is not standard CSS? What are you having trouble with in your child theme?

    Sidebar positioning and layout. I see mysterious things not specified at places where CSS is explained. This in particular is what I’m talking about

    position: relative;
	z-index: 2;

    I’d like to switch sidebars, so “content” appears on the left (stage right) and primary on the right (stage left) for a child theme.

    To get an idea of how position and z-index work, check out CSS Positioning. As for your second question, that’s possible, but it’s going to take a fair bit of tweaking to make it look right.
