Thematic Child Theme update problems

I have updated a website from 2.8 to 3.42. And now I’ved lost the connection to the ‘Blog’ part of the site, so only the header and the navigation is showed.
Plus the ‘footer’ has also disappeared – see http://www.upfronteurope.dk

The is no problem with the ‘Pages’ part of the website.
The site is using version ‘A Thematic Child Theme’ version 1.0, so I guess the problem lies in the Child Theme code?

Hope someone can help!

That’s quite a long time between WordPress upgrades.

Did you also upgrade Thematic? From what version? I see that you’re now running the latest version at the time of this post (1.0.3.1)

As far as I can tell, you have a PHP error happening somewhere in your childtheme.
Can you share your childtheme’s functions.php file and/or childtheme’s templates somehow?

Thank you for your fast respons.
I updated the theme before I updated WordPress. And yes I know the interval between the updates is too long and could be the problem.

Right off the bat you have a parse error on line 8:

function childtheme_content($content) {a

remove the “a” and things should start to come back together.

Did you have any templates in your child theme?

No it is using the Thematic theme.

Line 72:
reads:
add_filter('thematic_postmeta_entrydate', 'thematic_postmeta_entrydate');
change it to :
add_filter('thematic_postmeta_entrydate', 'child_thematic_postmeta_entrydate');

I’ve already localised the problem and deleated the line – but you solved it and showed me what to put instead.
