I have attempted to use the install feature in WP, specifically with Suffusion, Smoke and a couple of other themes, and I get "downloading install package" and the system never completes the install.

I have attempted to use the install feature in WP, specifically with Suffusion, Smoke and a couple of other themes, and I get "downloading install package" and the system never completes the install.
Try adding:
AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
to the top of your WP root .htaccess file.
